NATA Accreditation
ACA's laboratory is accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities,
Australia (NATA) for both mechanical testing, and heat and temperature measurement.
This accreditation is generally a pre-requisite for the commissioning of test services
for many organisations and therefore enables the laboratory to undertake fee-for-service
testing for manufacturers and regulatory authorities requiring NATA-endorsed standards, or
legislative requirements in the case of energy labelling tests.
The scope of the testing for which ACA, through TEST RESEARCH, can issue NATA-endorsed
test documents is defined in the terms of ACA's accreditation.
Having NATA accreditation imposes rigorous requirements on the laboratory. NATA
assessors carry out regular audits of the laboratory to check that these requirements are
met.
ACA's NATA accreditation is, therefore, an independent confirmation of the laboratory's
competence and quality management.
Consequently, NATA accreditation adds credibility to all of ACA's product testing.
Details of accreditation are:-
- Mechanical Testing - ACCREDITATION NO: 3601
- Heat and Temperature measurement - ACCREDITATION NO: 1702
