Refrigeration and Thermal Products Laboratory
Our Thermal lab is NATA-accredited to test the performance of household refrigerating appliances to AS/NZS 4474 part 1 and 2. We also conduct customised testing for other thermal products, including coolers and vacuum flasks and temperature based research projects.
Members of our staff participate in committees for the development of specialist AS/NZ and ISO standards and we have hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of many standards.
Our test rooms can provide strictly controlled ambient temperatures between 10 and 45° C. Precision data logging equipment records 40 temperature channels per room every minute together with power and other values.
