Nursery and Children's products laboratory
Our Children's Products lab is NATA-accredited to test:
- Children's toys to AS/NZS ISO 8124 part 1;
- Children's toys to AS 1647 parts 1 and 2 (except toy sunglasses and mouth actuated toys);
- Prams and strollers to AS/NZS 2088;
- Household cots to AS/NZS 2172;
- Portable cots to AS/NZS 2195;
- Babies' dummies to AS 2432;
- High chairs to BS 5799, ASTM F404 and ISO 9221.
We also test toys to EN 71 part 1. We can arrange for additional toxicological, microbiological and flammability testing to be performed by NATA-accredited testing facilities.
Our laboratory is temperature controlled and we have developed an extensive range of testing equipment based on the Australian and International Standards to ensure the highest standards are applied.
Members of our staff participate in committees for the development of specific Australian, New Zealand and ISO standards and we have hands-on experience and detailed knowledge of many standards.
